Manager Business Attraction and Expansion

Proactively work with existing industry and new-to-market companies to grow Greater Omaha’s regional economy via the creation of good paying jobs and capital investment. The position will build relationships with companies both within and outside the Greater Omaha region to identify projects and manage the relationship from fist contact to completed project.



ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.     Strategically analyze our market and identify growth opportunities to recruit new, complementary companies from target industries and geographies to Greater Omaha. Coordinate marketing activities with the Chamber’s marketing team for both digital and physical campaigns. Recruitment activities would include both domestic and international/Foreign Direct Investment activities.

2.     Create and manage the annual business retention and expansion (BRE) effort for the Partnership, working with Chamber staff and our EDC Partners to achieve stated goals. Communicate and articulate to regional businesses the value we can add to their business and identify opportunities to provide assistance.

3.     Manage the Regional sales process from initial contact, to RFI response and delivery, appropriate follow up, community and site visits, and closing of the deal. Anticipate the needs of the client and provide information in a timely and easily understood format.  Manage multiple projects at one time.

4.     Track and record all activity in CRM in a real-time basis following established protocol.

5.     Serve as staff lead for selected Targeted Advisory Groups (TAGs) which advise the Partnership on message and marketing for targeted business sectors.  Serve as staff lead for the Manufacturing Council for the Chamber. Provide support and participate in other TAGs/Councils of the Partnership as needed. 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.     Assistance with various meetings and functions as required (greeting guests and dignitaries, preparing presentations and handouts, meeting room set-up and break-down, etc.) for Chamber/Partnership functions inside or outside the office.

2.     Represent the organization at various Chamber, investor and community functions. 

3.     Additional tasks as assigned by the Senior Director of Business Development, Senior Vice Presidents or President.

4.     Coordinate activities and projects with other departments including marketing and business intelligence.
