Community Resource Coordinator

Key Accountabilities:


Donation Coordination

  • Coordinate with Stephen Center case managers to facilitate meeting client needs to transition to permanent housing in a successful manner. Assist in meeting client and program needs by communicating and strategizing with the programming and development teams to leverage resources and partnerships.
  • Manage in-kind donations and oversee the storage and distribution of these gifts.
  • Obtain larger in-kind donations (furniture, corporate drives, and corporate gifts).
  • Oversee donation pick-ups and employee schedules, and actively promote Stephen Center’s mission to the community.
  • Record donations, tracking and thanking donors who provide in-kind donations to ensure efficient processing.
  • Oversee upkeep and cleanliness of dock area, storage area and vehicles

Community Outreach

  • Participate in the education of the community, volunteers, service providers, and other interested parties with respect to client services and programs.
  • Promote services throughout the community by establishing relationships with local non-profits, schools, service providers, community groups, churches, senior programs, youth programs and others.
  • Assist in identifying community partners that will support Stephen Center.
  • Meet as appropriate with community organizations to ensure a strong relationship is maintained.


  • Participate in networking functions as appropriate
  • Assist with information requests for guests, volunteers, and groups
  • Attend staff meetings and training workshops as needed
  • Enhance job performance by applying up-to-date professional and technical knowledge gained by attending seminars and conferences
  • Perform ad hoc projects as appointed by the supervisor

Position Requirements:

  • Management and retail experience a plus
  • Detail-oriented and flexible with priorities
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Normal shipping and receiving conditions
  • Driving, including box trucks and large van
  • Walking – Full Shift
  • Standing – Full Shift
  • Kneeling – Periodically
  • Climbing – To enter and egress large vehicles to retrieve donations
  • Pushing/pulling periodically
  • Repetitive lifting 25+ pounds
